Celebrated here for a work dinner. Not much of a sushi person but everything I tried was amazing. Lots of dishes were a beautiful work of art. Especially the ube churro which I unfortunately did not take a picture of.

They have unique desserts made from their patisserie chef. The one I tried was Ube Churro. Their sushi menu changes depending on the season. They have fresh fish you can try for a decent price. Their drinks taste unique as well and pair well with the sushi/sashimi. I would definitely recommend coming here to try it out because so far this is the best sushi restaurant in the Houston metropolitan area.

Tobiuo was a great place to eat! It was relatively expensive, like most Japanese restaurants but the food was really good. The atmosphere was really comforting and the server was really caring and nice. The food came out relatively quickly and tasted really good! The two dishes in the pictures are the chicken udon (my personal favourite) and the Sumo Sumo sushi roll. Both of these were under $20 I believe. Overall, Tobiuo is a fantastic restaurant with great food, amazing service, but is a little expensive.

Went for happy hour and it was delicious! Def ordered too much but the fish tasted fresh and everything was pleasant. Vibe of the restaurant was very sleep and clean. Server was great and they even double checked on the order as it was too much food for two ppl. Parking can be ok depending on the day as it is in La center facing cinco ranch high school

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL lunch! Without a doubt, if you want to truly experience all this restaurant has to offer, do yourself a favor and sit at the sushi bar. Brought my brother and best friend here for lunch. My brother is in the navy and recently returned from Japan while my best friend lives in D.C., both told me this place is in their top 3, EVER. Start off with the shishito peppers, extra garlic and extra sauce recommended by our waiter Peter. Then try the bluefin experience and/or the belly flight. Move on to the Tokyo City Lights followed by some Sumo Sumo. If they have any Okama, GET IT, and thank me later. Enjoy 🤘🏽

Oh my gosh! What can I say! Tobiuo was such an exquisite experience! Our server Theo was really attentive, entertaining and really on point! All of our dishes were out of this world. Really fresh, clean and you can taste the umami. Honestly all the dishes gave me a shokugeki moment… where you’re just sitting there like. Holy. This is so good! When I come back I’m definitely getting the spicy edamame, foie gras, ube churro, nigiri sets and the limited time lychee dessert! I’ll be back again for sure ~

Worth trying out, and We loved going here, not so special though, so we might not go again. Food was largely good, we had to send the soup back as it was too salty, they said it was because it was at the bottom of the batch and made fresh one for us. Other than that, We loved the veggie sushi, shrimp tempura and couple of rolls that we ordered. The dessert with brownies and ice cream was phenomenal. The beer offerings are very limited, and they did not have all that they had on the menu, they should at least get Sapporo on tap Atmosphere is fine I guess, the place is usually pretty empty on weekdays.
